Freelance & Contract Work
freelance --available
Here's what I can do, what I'm good at, what it roughly costs, and how to contact me. If it involves Linux, infrastructure or automation, I've probably done it.
Availability: Currently available for remote Linux / DevOps roles, contract engagements and freelance infrastructure projects.
And to be clear: I'm also open to remote employment and contract DevOps / Linux infrastructure roles. This page is for project work, not my only career goal.
What I take on
Infrastructure Consulting
Architecture reviews, server setup, hardening, migrations and advice that comes from actually running production systems.
Linux Administration
Day-to-day administration, patching, monitoring, backups, and the unglamorous work that keeps systems alive.
DevOps & CI/CD
Pipelines that work: Jenkins, Ansible, Bitbucket Pipelines, GitHub Actions. Automated deploys and rollback strategies.
Automation Projects
If you do something twice, script it. Bash, Python, Ansible, and infrastructure as code done properly.
Cloud Infrastructure
AWS, DigitalOcean, OVH, Cloudflare. Design, migration, right-sizing, and getting the bill under control.
Troubleshooting & Performance
Slow site? Weird outages? Intermittent failures? I find root causes and fix them.
Migrations
Ecommerce platforms, servers, databases, caches, DNS. I have led 10+ large ones with minimal downtime.
Ongoing Contract Work
A few hours a week or a month of steady infrastructure support, without hiring a full-time ops person.
Indicative freelance rates
Rates are indicative, in CAD. Larger projects are quoted based on scope. The point of publishing numbers is transparency, not bargain hunting.
How to hire me
Tell me what you're dealing with. No sales pitch, no obligation. If it's not a fit, I'll say so.
