- Managed a fleet of 100+ virtual machines across software development lifecycle roles, keeping them secure and performant.
- Established and maintained a robust CI/CD environment with Jenkins, Ansible and Bitbucket Pipelines, significantly improving deployment efficiency.
- Automated systems provisioning and configuration with Ansible and Jenkins.
- Implemented and managed cloud services on AWS, OVH.us, DigitalOcean, Fastly, Cloudflare and NewRelic, improving reliability and scalability.
- Developed shell scripts to automate daily tasks, increasing operational efficiency and reducing manual errors.
- Led incident management, including root cause analysis and preventive measures, minimizing system downtime.
- Led 10+ large ecommerce migrations with minimal downtime, coordinating with stakeholders through server, database, cache and DNS transfers.
- Ran a one-person IT consulting practice: system setup, networking, troubleshooting and support for small businesses.
- Volunteered as IT consultant for Silver Linings and handled maintenance for CBDVS, Kennewick, WA (2001-2003).
- The bridge between general IT and the infrastructure work that followed.
- Managed technical operations at a computer OEM: builds, testing, and the systems that kept the shop running.
- Where it all started. Assembling machines and making them behave has been the job ever since.
